It’s been four years since BottleRock first set up shop in Napa Valley, and it’s really astonishing how far its come in such a short time. With it’s cutting edge culinary scene and world famous wineries, Napa can be a pretty difficult place to impress people… particularly the discerning clientele it tends to attract. At first, there was a lot of concern that a large, loud music festival not only wouldn’t fit the wine country luxury image guests have come to expect from Napa, but that it potentially might even hurt business, as the typically older, more affluent winery visitors might avoid the Valley altogether during festival times.
Luckily…. BottleRock is no ordinary music festival.
The BottleRock organizers were well aware of the unique challenges presented by Napa Valley, and have crafted a luxury food, wine and music experience almost unrivaled the world over. The musical lineups are always stellar, having boasted such artists as The Black Crowes, Kings of Leon, Imagine Dragons and the iconic Red Hot Chili Peppers, with this year’s list adding Foo Fighters, Maroon 5 and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers to the roster of esteemed alumni. But hey, it is a music festival. That’s to be expected. However, thanks to organizer Latitude 38 Entertainment there’s a lot more to experience than just good music and a few stages…and it’s these things that make BottleRock so very Napa Valley.
While it’s not out of the ordinary for large festivals to have wine available from vendors, BottleRock is perhaps the only place on earth where wineries bring their unique experiences to the festival itself. Winding around the edges of the stage areas are cozy wine cabanas that vintners rent for the weekend and turn into satellite tasting rooms. Wineries have gotten extremely creative with the design of these little oasis’s and often have special treats for club members. In one tent you may find limited production zinfandel and a game of corn hole, and in another you can get metallic temporary tattoos while sipping bubbles on leather couches. With wineries like Silver Oak, Del Dotto, Cakebread and Rombauer among the participants, it’s basically a wine and music lover’s paradise. Want to enjoy limited production single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon on a sofa under the Napa Valley stars while Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers crush (no pun intended) Runnin’ Down a Dream? BottleRock has you covered. Check the BottleRock website for the full list.
To say that Napa Valley takes food seriously is the understatement of the century. Food is a way of life here, and BottleRock is no exception. You’d be hard pressed to find a music festival with more Michelin stars to its name. Redd, Meadowood, Bouchon Bakery and Morimoto are just a few of the many world famous Napa Valley culinary destinations that will be on hand to wow festival goers with their creative and cutting edge cuisine.
Showcasing some of the country’s top sommeliers and chefs in cooking demonstrations alongside musicians and celebrities makes for some high level culinary entertainment. Past years have seen celebrity chefs the likes of Gordon Ramsay, Michael Mina & Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto paired with personalities like Snoop Dogg, Flava Flav and Michael Franti.
BottleRock, like Napa, takes the “VIP” moniker to new heights. VIP level and higher ticket holders get access a special Silver Oak VIP Terrace, access to the VIP Village – an oasis featuring premium bars, expanded culinary offerings, a VIP viewing deck, comfy seats, shade, live acoustic performances, DJ sets, upgraded VIP-only restrooms and much more – and easy access entry and exit points.
But why stop there? This is Napa.
For those who wish to indulge further, BottleRock offers even more exclusive ticketing options that include artist meet and greets, private elevated viewing areas, backstage access, on stage viewing areas, beer, wine and cocktails included, and an extravagant luxury weekend package sure to blow the minds even the most discerning festival goer.

BottleRock is more than a festival. It’s a festival within a festival. It’s a weekend of epic live performances from some of the world’s most celebrated artists, paired with the kind of cutting edge food and wine extravagance that wine country has become synonymous with. With many tasting rooms and restaurants now offering exclusive BottleRock menus and some even throwing after parties it’s become a can’t miss weekend and is most certainly, a VERY Napa Valley festival.
